Delete your VTUAgent account

You can delete your VTUAgent account and its associated data at any time — from inside the app, or by emailing us. Deletion is permanent.

VTUAgent is published on Google Play by XTRAHOLA CONCEPT. This page covers the VTUAgent mobile app and the account you use to sign in to it.

Before you start

Spend or withdraw your wallet balance first. A remaining balance is not automatically refunded when your account is deleted, and the account cannot be recovered afterwards.

How to request deletion

Either route works. Both delete the same data.

Option A · In the VTUAgent app

1Open the VTUAgent app and sign in.
2Go to the Profile tab.
3Tap Delete account.
4Confirm with your password.

Your account closes immediately and every device is signed out.

Option B · By email

1Email [email protected] from the address registered to your account.
2Use the subject line Delete my account.
3Include the phone number on your account so we can locate it.
4Reply to our confirmation message to authorise the deletion.

Use this route if you can no longer access the app. We verify your identity before acting, then delete within 30 days.

Email a deletion request

What is deleted

Removed permanently once the request is processed.

Profile: Your name, email address, phone number, date of birth and gender.
Credentials: Your password hash and transaction PIN. Every session is revoked on all devices.
Account settings: Account type, notification preferences and any saved app preferences.
Dedicated funding account: The bank account number issued to you for wallet funding is closed and cannot receive further transfers.
Airshare links: Any unredeemed gift links you created are cancelled.
On-device data: Your app-unlock PIN and biometric settings never reach our servers — they are erased from your phone when you uninstall the app.

What is kept, and for how long

Nigerian financial law requires us to retain some records after an account closes.

Transaction and wallet records: Purchases, funding transfers and receipts. Retained for a minimum of five years after the transaction or account closure, whichever is later, as Nigerian anti-money-laundering law requires.
KYC verification records: Identity data used to verify you, including BVN verification results. Retained for the same five-year minimum under the same rules.
Security and technical logs: IP addresses and diagnostic logs. Retained up to 12 months, unless needed for an ongoing investigation.
Support correspondence: Messages you sent our support team. Retained up to 24 months after the matter is closed.

Why these are kept

VTUAgent is a regulated bill-payment service. Nigerian anti-money-laundering and financial record-keeping rules require transaction and identity records to be retained after closure. These records are held in restricted form, are not used for any other purpose, and are deleted or irreversibly anonymised once the retention period ends.

How long it takes

In-app deletion: Immediate. Your account closes and all sessions are revoked as soon as you confirm.
Email request: Within 30 days of us verifying your identity.
Legally retained records: Deleted or irreversibly anonymised at the end of the retention periods above.

Deletion is permanent. We cannot restore a deleted account, its transaction history or its wallet balance. To use VTUAgent again you would need to register a new account and complete verification from the start.
